SymQuest Group, Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Konica Minolta Business Solutions U.S.A., Inc., celebrated 20 years as Northern New England’s premier IT services and copier company on Tuesday, February 9.

“What a thrill it is to witness the advances of business technology,” said Larry Sudbay, SymQuest’s President and CEO. “In just 20 years we have seen incredible improvements in the way we communicate, work, and experience life. As technology is continuously changing the way we work, one constant remains the same: SymQuest is committed to building a quality company and earning your business every day.”

SymQuest Group, Inc., formerly part of McAuliffe Office Systems, was established in 1996 in downtown Burlington, Vermont by Larry Sudbay and former business partner Pat Robins. Sudbay and Robins began SymQuest with a vision of the changing landscape of computer networking and document management. In 1997 SymQuest employed 94 technology professionals and reached annual revenue of $10MM. By 2014 SymQuest’s annual revenue had amounted to more than $35MM with offices located throughout New York, Vermont, New Hampshire, and Maine.

In June, 2015 SymQuest was acquired by Konica Minolta Business Solutions U.S.A, Inc. and now acts as a wholly-owned subsidiary of the worldwide technology company retaining its 186 employees and seven branch locations throughout Northern New England.

Sudbay said of the acquisition, “Konica Minolta believes in thinking globally and acting locally. This philosophy is aligned with our vision and we look forward to the future of SymQuest operating locally as a subsidiary.”
